Manuel "Manny" Geraldo is an accomplished legal professional and principal of the law firm Robinson and Geraldo, which he founded in 1979. A graduate of Seton Hall University, he earned his juris doctorate from Rutgers School of Law and a master’s degree in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University. His extensive career includes serving as Director and General Counsel for the District of Columbia Private Industry Council, litigation and legislative counsel in the Office of the General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, a member of the Newark Commission on Human Rights, and Executive Director for the Congress of Portuguese Speaking People. Appointed by Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley to the Maryland Board of Airport Zoning Appeals in 2010, he became Chair in 2012 and has also served as a Commissioner and Chair of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. Currently, he serves as a Director on the Maryland Legal Aid Bureau, Director on the Board of the Prince George’s County Community Foundation, and Commissioner on the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission. Mr. Geraldo’s commitment to community service has earned him numerous accolades, including the Arthur W. Machen, Jr. Award from the Maryland Legal Services Corporation, the Pro Bono Service Honoree recognition from the Maryland Pro Bono Resource Center, the Fred R. Joseph Award from Community Legal Services of Prince George's County, and the Civic Leadership Award from the Greater Washington Community Foundation.
