Advocacy Director for Community Lawyering and Development
Meaghan McDermott is the Advocacy Director for Community Lawyering and Development at Maryland Legal Aid. Meaghan has been with Maryland Legal Aid since February 2017. Prior to that, she worked as an attorney-adviser for the Social Security Administration. She graduated from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and earned her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University of Maryland College Park. Outside of work, Meaghan is enthusiastic about the outdoors, books, and the arts.
