Chuck joined our Board in 2023 and currently serves as Treasurer.  His past board service includes serving for many years on the boards of the Maryland Volunteer Legal Services, the Coppin State University Foundation, The Trustees of the Endowment for the University of Maryland, Baltimore Center Stage, and the South Baltimore Learning Center.  He currently serves on the advisory boards for Teach for America Baltimore and the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Vermont.  His board service has including serving as the chair of the board of four different organizations.  Chuck has held a faculty appointment at the Johns Hopkins University for more than twenty years and recently began teaching at the University of Maryland School of Law.  He has been recognized by the Daily Record with awards as an Influential Marylander, a Leader in the Law, and as an Innovator of the Year.  Professionally, Chuck serves as the Managing Partner of Venable’s Baltimore office where he maintains an active, national practice as a corporate lawyer.
