Shahzad Rana
Shahzad Ali Rana is a legal, regulatory, and governance professional with more than 18 years of experience in litigation, regulatory enforcement, legal advisory work, legislative development, and institutional governance. He previously served as a Special Public Prosecutor for the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, representing the Commission in hundreds of matters before Pakistan’s superior courts and contributing to the development of significant corporate and securities legislation. Shahzad is an LL.M. candidate at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. He holds an LL.M. in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation from the University of Warwick and an M.A. from the University of Leeds. He is also a certified mediator through the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. In Maryland, Shahzad serves as Grants and Donor Relationship Manager at ICNA Relief USA, a national humanitarian and social-service organization. Since 2015, he has supported initiatives serving immigrants, refugees, low-income families, survivors of domestic violence, and other underserved communities. He is committed to strengthening the connection between community-based services, legal advocacy, and equitable access to justice.
