Ashley M. Harrison
Secretary
Ashley M. Harrison is a Baltimore based entrepreneur, community health strategist, nonprofit leader, educator, and systems builder whose work focuses on strengthening the connection between healthcare, behavioral health, recovery, workforce development, education, legal advocacy, and community-based services.
She is the founder of HealthEdu360, LLC, Legacy360 programming and The Green-Harrison Circle (501c3), where she develops programs and partnerships designed to address gaps in access, prevention, recovery support, workforce readiness, family stabilization, and community health. Her work is rooted in the belief that effective systems should not only exist on paper, they should be accessible, understandable, accountable, and capable of producing measurable results for the people they are designed to serve.
She also teaches community responsibility alongside systems accountability, emphasizing that institutions must be responsive and equitable, while communities must also build the knowledge, capacity, and shared responsibility to address challenges that no system was designed to carry alone.
Ashley brings multidisciplinary training across community health, behavioral health, peer recovery, harm reduction, crisis intervention, and public health education. Her credentials include Community Health Worker, Mental Health First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid, Peer Recovery Housing Specialist, Recovery Coach Academy training, Naloxone Train-the-Trainer, Be REAL Facilitator & Professional, Trauma-Informed Care, Harm Reduction, De-escalation and Crisis Prevention, and additional training in health screening, HIV prevention, recovery ethics, advocacy, and education.
Throughout her professional and community work, Ashley has focused on building practical bridges between institutions and the communities they serve. She is particularly passionate about creating pathways for individuals and families who are often expected to navigate multiple complicated systems at once, including healthcare, behavioral health, education, housing, employment, recovery services, and legal resources.
As Board Secretary of Maryland Legal Aid, Ashley brings an entrepreneurial mindset, a community-centered perspective, and a strong commitment to governance, accountability, ethics, and equitable access to justice. She believes that meaningful leadership requires more than identifying problems; it requires asking better questions, challenging ineffective systems, and helping build solutions that people can actually use.
Her approach to leadership is grounded in ethics, integrity, innovation, accountability, and service, with a consistent focus on turning ideas into infrastructure and resources into real impact while improving quality of life. Ashley’s guiding principle is “Together WE WILL."
