Louise M. Carwell is the Chief Attorney of the Baltimore Housing Consumer Law Unit at Maryland Legal Aid. She specializes in housing and consumer law. Louise graduated from Case Western Reserve School of Law in 1984 and holds a degree in History and Political Science from the University of Rochester, which she earned in 1981. Her work is driven by the need to empower people to secure safe, quality housing and be treated fairly in the marketplace, allowing them to live peacefully, independently, and with financial security.
