Pro Bono Attorney Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a pro bono attorney with Maryland Legal Aid. Maryland Legal Aid is a non-profit law firm committed to providing access to justice for low-income Marylanders with civil legal issues. Volunteer attorneys are needed in the following areas: consumerA state or federal law designed to protect consumers against improperly described, damaged, faulty, and dangerous goods and services as well as from unfair trade and credit practices. Including Legal Issues like: bankruptcy, collections, garnishment and repossession. rights, family law (including child custody), government benefits, veterans’ benefitsThere are federal and state statutes, that provide benefits, privileges and preferences for the welfare of veterans and their dependents., and housing (including landlord/tenant and foreclosure matters). In addition, volunteers are needed for various non-case handling activities.
