Ashley Phillips joined Maryland Legal Aid on April 29 as the new Staff Attorney for the One Baltimore for Jobs (1B4J) initiative.
As the IB4J Staff Attorney, Ashley will help trainees in the IB4J program by removing legal barriers that could prevent them from obtaining employment (e.g., criminal record expungements, suspended driver's license because of nonpayment of child support, and any issues related to public benefits and housing).
Since beginning in her new role, Ashley has already begun performing outreach and giving
presentations. On May 12, Ashley gave a "Know Your Rights" presentation to young men at
City Life Community Builders
Ashley received her law degree from the University of Baltimore, and her B.S. in history and
