Visit from the Thai Delegation

 

On August 11, Maryland Legal Aid welcomed delegates from Thailand to its Baltimore City office. The delegates participated in a discussion with Maryland Legal Aid staff about human trafficking, income security and labor laws, and family law.

Outreach on the Eastern Shore

On August 4, Chief Attorney Bill Leahy and Paralegal Lou Dorsey from Maryland Legal Aid’s Upper Eastern Shore office participated in the back to school community resource event in Denton, MD. Sponsored by the Caroline County Department of Social Services, the event provided vendors and organizations the opportunity to distribute information about their programs and services as well as school supplies for children returning to school. Approximately 800 children and families attended the event.
