Maryland Legal Aid Awarded Grant from Maryland Judiciary

Maryland Legal Aid was recently awarded a grant from the Maryland Judiciary, Foster Care Court Improvement Program for $25,836. This grant, made possible through funding provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (Child Welfare Grant), will support Maryland Legal Aid’s Raising the Bar in Juvenile Court project.

Raising the Bar in Juvenile Court will be a day-long training with different tracks for attorneys, members of the judiciary, social services workers and others involved in Children in Need of Assistance (CINA) matters. The training is tentatively scheduled for June 2016 and will hopefully attract 300-500 people from around the state.
